We are pleased to announce “Life in a ‘PARALLEL’ world,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Shoko Hirose at the tagboat gallery on the 7th floor of Hankyu MEN’S TOKYO, Ginza.
Shoko Hirose graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, and in the same year was awarded the Independent TOKYO 2018 Special Jury Prize.
Her works are characterized by digitally created data that is printed and then modified with drawing materials.
She explores the expression of painting in the modern age with a layered structure of digital and analog, and expresses the hesitation, regret, and joy of girls who live in this modern age and the events that happen to them every day.
Hirose paints the world in which some events occurred, the world in which they did not occur, and some “other world” that is slightly different from the reality.
