We are pleased to announce “Utopia,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Miho Kimura at the tagboat gallery space on the 7th floor of Hankyu MEN’S TOKYO, Ginza.
Miho Kimura, a 2018 graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts in oil painting, colorfully depicts a world where cars and nature coexist in harmony.
Her works, which seem to transport us to a colorful world of cars that no one has ever seen before, stretch the imagination of the viewer.
The car, painted in colors as if painting the real thing, accentuates the strength of the mechanism with its edgy form and sense of speed as if it were cutting through the wind.
Miho Kimura, an up-and-coming artist who has participated in many art events such as “TAGBOAT ART FAIR 2022” and “Art Fair GINZA” and has sold out one after another, will exhibit and sell her new works in her first solo exhibition at tagboat.

I am interested in the kind of world view that appear in science fiction novels, and I want to express such world in my works.
In “Utopia,” I have a car driving through a world that was inspired by the pieces of a puzzle. I feel that this world was like a puzzle, which is what inspired me to paint this picture. I think that there are so many things in abundance, and that all of them are made up of a combination of everyone’s favorite and least favorite colors, I realize this world is truly a big place.
We can still add much more colors. I chose this title with the wish to drive in a world that we have not seen yet. Hope you could feel the story connected by the car.
