We are pleased to present the solo exhibition “EYES” by contemporary artist Kana Kamishita at tagboat Gallery.
Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1995 and graduating from the Nihon Designer Gakuin Kyushu School in 2016, Kana Kamishita stands out among her peers with her remarkable composition and precise line work.
Her artworks are deeply influenced by Japanese painting and ukiyo-e, featuring mystical and vibrant Japanese themes. Through intricate compositions, flowing lines, and careful use of color, she brings mysterious imaginary creatures to life.
In this solo exhibition, Kana Kamishita explores a spectrum of emotions, from affection to despair, through the eyes of yokai and mythical creatures. She presents new works that focus on the emotions and perspectives hidden beyond what meets the eye, along with showcasing Giclée prints.
Please join us in experiencing this ethereal world where the expressions of eyes provoke contemplation on human relationships and the diversity of emotions.
