Tagboat gallery is pleased to present “Into the Forest,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Ayaka Nakamura.
Ayaka Nakamura, a graduate of Musashino Art University’s Department of Oil Painting with a major in printmaking, explores themes of nature and life through her works. In recent years, she has expanded her artistic endeavors across Asia and beyond, including Korea and China.
Drawing inspiration from the photographs on a daily basis, Nakamura uses acrylic paints to break down the energy of nature into layers on the canvas. Her improvisational lines, reminiscent of the geology, scents, and breath of the nature, merge with the dynamic accumulation of materials, evoking landscapes from our memories.
Nakamura’s second solo exhibition at tagboat, featuring approximately 15 new works available for viewing and purchase. We invite you to witness the profound connection between destruction and creation, as Nakamura delves into the breath of nature and the essence of living beings.
