We are pleased to announce “Vestige,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Minako Ishikawa at the newly opened tagboat in Ningyocho.
Minako Ishikawa creates beautiful gradations by painting thousands of extremely thin lines on transparent acrylic sheets with acrylic paints. Last year, she exhibited at the tagboat x Hakata Hankyu “Art Fair HAKATA.” She was also selected to exhibit at the Hiratsuka Museum of Art’s special exhibition, “Portraits of Our Generation.”
This exhibition will be Minako Ishikawa’s 5th solo exhibition at tagboat. We will be featuring Ishikawa’s past works, which have been actively exhibited since her student days. Minako Ishikawa has been tracing the diversity, potential, and latent possibilities of lines through her unique technique since then.
The artist, who is conscious of the accumulation and transition of delicate changes, continues to pursue the expression of the line. Please come and see her pursuit of lines created by transparent shades of color up close and personal.
