We are pleased to announce “I draw lines,” a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Nanami Azuma at tagboat’s gallery space on the 7th floor of Hankyu MEN’S TOKYO in Ginza, Tokyo.
Nanami Azuma won the grand prize in the 16th TAGBOAT AWARD in 2021. She is one of the most popular young artists, and her works exhibited at the “tagboat art fair 2022” were all sold out.
Nanami Azuma paints line by line based on the brush strokes that be made when painting. The distortions created by hand-drawing and the blending of colors next to each other create unexpected shapes and colors.
The densely painted lines are so detailed that one can’t help but follow them with their eyes and feel as if they are being drawn into the painting.
In this exhibition, Azuma’s first solo show at tagboat, her new works will be exhibited and sold. Please come and see the works, which fascinate people with their exquisite lines and solid colors.
